Lawton Brothers Rubber Floor Care

As your Central Florida resource for cleaning solutions, at Lawton Brothers we are aware that rubber floors have become a popular flooring choice for facilities. Because of the increase of rubber floors within facilities we thought it was appropriate to discuss proper cleaning and care methods

The rubber floors are common choices for schools, gyms, pool decks, and institutional facilities because of their sustainable and slip-resistant surface. They can be manufactured from several different types of materials including recycled rubber tires. Despite their green qualities and sustainability, rubber floor care can be quite complex. Generally dust mopping is not a good choice because in order to promote grip, the surface is not smooth. Backpack vacuums are helpful for eliminating dry dust and dirt. For a more complete cleaning, hard surface tools can be used to remove dirt. There are green certified neutral cleaners available, however disinfectant can be used if bacteria are a concern.

At Lawton Brothers we are proud to be your resource for cleaning solutions and janitorial supplies. Contact us today for a free consultation regarding your facility’s floor care.
